About Me

At the 2007 Pan Am Maccabi Games Opening Ceremonies

ABOUT ME:
I have been swimming competitively since I was five (5) years old and decided to make the transition to Triathlon a year after graduating from College. There is no feeling greater than crossing a finish line knowing that I pushed my body and mind to its max. It’s hard to be a young adult that has to put friends and fun aside in order to get in the needed amount of training hours.  I made sacrifices in college and still make sacrifices today, but the feeling of accomplishment I have while crossing a finish line makes all those sacrifices worthwhile. The amount of mental toughness a race of any magnitude in this sport demands is indescribable but the benefits are obvious.  I am focused, I am motivated, and I am organized in every aspect of my life thanks to being a life-long athlete.

LONG-TERM ATHLETIC OBJECTIVE:
It is my goal to continue to excel in the sport of Triathlon and to push my athletic and mental boundaries by registering for and trying to place in increasingly difficult races. I hope to qualify for The Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii at some point in my Triathlon career.
It is also my goal to continue to excel in the sport of Swimming by re-focusing much of my training in the pool towards USMS competition. I hope to medal at the USMS National Long Course Championships at some point during the remainder of my swimming career.

SHORT-TERM ATHLETIC OBJECTIVE:
After having trained myself for the past few years to complete numerous Olympic, Half-Ironman, and Ironman distance races, I have decided that I have come as far as I can by myself.  As I am now a coached athlete, I hope to focus on quality over quantity training in order to help myself juggle both workouts and a very demanding full-time job.  Ultimately, the goal for this year is to relax, to enjoy my training, and to work hard towards getting some PRs at some pretty amazing races.
